Conventional lubricants (mineral or synthetic based) can solve almost all problems encountered in the industry.
LUBRILOG focuses primarily in areas where the petroleum companies and manufacturers of conventional lubricants become ineffective. Indeed, the rules of tribology and mechanics that apply to conventional materials become obsolete…
As such these new materials are not necessarily conductive anymore but they are also insulating and their elasticity, the hardness or surface state are very often completely different.
- Oxidation problems are replaced by ageing or chemical compatibility issues
- Old additives have been discarded in favour of new technologies that are not hazardous to the environment. Thus, gradually, derivatives of chlorine, phosphor, zinc, heavy metals are replaced by a new, less aggressive and cleaner chemistry
